Very professional workplace and lots of career opportunities. The management team is excellent and supports all employees. The lawyers are top notch and I couldn`t have asked for a better experience. I loved working at MGC – I made a lot of friends and worked hard. Forced by sneaky management partners who came to deconstruct the process department and change the culture. A typical day involved tapping my fingers on the bone and then going home. There was no difficult part of my job.
I loved my job, but I felt used and lied to by management. Everyone gets the basics to do their job with a clear education and mentor. Everyone is extremely friendly and a team player. Group meetings and cooperations. Plenty of room to move forward. I really loved almost everything at MGC! My colleagues were mostly fantastic, the lawyers were mostly down to earth, there was no gap between the lawyers and the staff that seems to exist in most law firms. The only problem I saw there was the senior management clique. While it didn`t affect me, or my work product in general, I saw the effects of its existence and saw people being displaced due to personality conflicts with someone in the clique. Nevertheless, I got along well individually with everyone, but as a group I saw the behaviour and I wanted the administrative committee to intervene. MGC`s culture is focused on its people. Casual but professional, MGC offers a stimulating and rewarding work environment. In an ever-changing industry, MGC is a leader in innovative and efficient customer service.

MGC`s team of lawyers advises clients on all aspects of employee compensation, litigation and employment law. Our firm is comprised of lawyers with varying degrees of experience, from senior litigation partners and partners to paralegals and professional support staff. The staff was friendly, but the employers upstairs take care of themselves and their families. I was fired because someone`s son wanted my job. They hired me, used me to update their business and business and caught up with me, and then they let me train this boy just to give him my job because his mom was working higher. I felt used. I loved working there, but they have dirty people working higher.

I love my job at MGC. My typical workday includes preparing conference/break rooms, managing inventory in photocopying rooms, performing copy/scan jobs, mail processing, and deliveries. The management is always helpful and friendly, as is my staff. “We are thrilled and proud to be named to this list,” said Jay Courie, MGC`s Chief Executive Officer. “We established our first office in Charlotte in 1998 and today we have nearly 200 lawyers and staff in Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh and Wilmington. Our growth and success can be directly attributed to our culture of teamwork, relationships, innovation and customer service. Not a bad place overall, the senior partners are very nice. The HR department is missing. They have one because they really don`t care about you unless you`re part of the click.
Yes, this place sometimes looks like a high school. Sometimes I didn`t find it professional or that they were good at helping employees grow professionally. MGC`s goal is to meet the needs of our customers and exceed their expectations.
